Coemar Infinity Wash XL lights

DESCRIPTION:

After a lengthy 24 year absence from the stage, the Police have made a triumphant and long anticipated return to the music scene. Lighting the way on their North American and European tour is the new Infinity Wash XL from international lighting manufacturer Coemar.

Lighting designer Patrick Woodroffe, renowned worldwide for his extraordinary work on such touring acts as The Rolling Stones, Genesis, and Elton John, chose the Infinity Wash XL specifically for the Police tour. Woodroffe's simple yet spectacular design gives the Infinity Wash XL the perfect showcase for its versatility.

The Tait Towers set - which is based around two ovals - demanded a light that would be both versatile enough to handle the rigors of a heavy touring schedule and adaptable enough to provide the lighting effects that the crew needed. They found that light in the Infinity Wash XL, and have been receiving rave reviews ever since.

Dynamic Effects

Laced within the structure are 60 Infinity Wash XLs. Coemar's most innovative wash light, the Infinity Wash XL offers dynamic effects and versatility. With a zoom range of 6° to 80°, the Infinity Wash XL features a CMY-s® color mixing system that matches standard CMY fixtures, while still allowing dark saturated colors, beam effects, and more.

Critics agree that the lighting for the tour has been nothing short of brilliant. As the Police blanket the country with their unique blend of rock, reggae, and ska, the Infinity Wash XLs have been garnering a solid amount of attention for their role in the successful reunion's stage presence.

And the positive reviews continue to flood in from across the country:

"The most colorful songs of the set were 'De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da,' during which the stage was bathed in yellow light, and 'Roxanne,' offering an explosion of red lighting effects that flooded the arena."
www.seattlepi.com, Seattle, WA

"Surrounded by a stunning stage show that included five huge video screens, six pillars with stage lights that rose and fell all night, conjuring images of the moon and ocean floor, Sting, a former school teacher who looks like he hasn't aged a day in three decades, strutted, leaped and rocked his way around stage all night."
- Poughkeepsie Journal, NY

"...with the stage bathed in a lascivious red glow, fans fell out of their chairs cheering."
- St. Petersburg Times, FL

"The lighting and screen projections also gave the performance a nice feel. For example, the dinosaur bones walking on the large stage television screens had a nice complementary effect during 'Walking In Your Footsteps'. The lighting was also strong during 'Synchronicity II' and 'Can't Stand Losing You'."
- The Journal Inquirer, CT

Catch the Police - and the Coemar Infinity Wash XL - on tour through North America for the remainder of 2007, and into Europe during spring 2008.
